Powder coated and gas checked 300 223 boolits and primed 100 270 cases. SWMBO has a friend in from out of town. Perfect excuse to disappear and drink beer in the reloading room.

I finally added a Hot Plate to my Casting Bench. Much easier than Balancing the mold on the Rim of the lead pot.

I sorted a lot of pistol and rifle brass, a lot being about half a five gallon bucket each.

But, it wasn't my brass, and it wasn't my reloading area. Both were my club's.

Stowed the brass in the reloading area. All gone in half a day, which was a bit faster than typical but as expected.

You'll wonder why you waited so long.

Finished reassembling nine molds I'm trying to bring back to life (from my screw ups as I learned how to cast on most of them, plus hard used molds given to me).

Hopefully I'll test cast from them in the next week or so.

The smallest package I ever got from PV arrived Tuesday with a single brick of sp primers. Half of them were in brass by early afternoon and 100 loaded by nightfall. Did a small test Wednesday with the MP 125 HPs, it shot to the sights at 25Y. Good start!

The primers were $60, plus $20 HazMat, $10 shipping. I should have grabbed some powder but checkout had a time limit and it was a fight to get them in the cart. Not sure how I feel about 9 cent primers except to make each one count.

My oldest daughter and I ( I helped) disassembled, cleaned, polished, lubed and reassembled a vintage Mercury bait casting reel- not reloading but a good time.

They are interesting. However, the ones I loaded are a bit on the "too hot" side and aren't really fun to shoot... Gonna go a little lower on the powder charge and try again.

Looks like I'm not the only one to repurpose a kitchen counter base.
