Loaded up 100 124 gr. HP j words in 9mm using 6 of HS-6. Way cheaper than buying commercial defensive ammo. Got a couple hundred more to go.

25 grain was about 1220 fps
27.5 grain was about 1300 fps
30 grain was about 1400 fps
33 grain was about 1500 fps

Everything was giving me about a 6" or so group at 50 yards in a Mossberg 590 pump. But I think the recoil factor probably plays into the grouping... None of these were fun to shoot. But they all did fly straight.

I finally DID some loading, since my local CAL Ranch store finally has CCI-500 SPP on the shelf. $5.99 per 100, and only 100 per day. However, they are right around the corner from me, so dropping by every day for my daily primers is pretty easy. So I finally loaded some of my 124gr cast PC Lee boolits over some HS-6...the only powder they had. Yes, I was caught short as I never expected the drought to last quite this long...

Tweaked my back again yesterday and reloading was all I was up to today. Got all my 44 Mag brass primed. Loaded 100 ea 9mm 125g HP and 125g RN over 5g of N350. Should be just over 1000 fps but I need to shop for a chronograph. That and more shelving for boolits and dies. So much simpler with just one caliber, I've had to get loading blocks, primer rods, shell holders..... Forgot about that. That money I'm saving is a couple years off.

Loaded 30 rounds of .45ACP 200 grain SWCs on the new 650 today. Now to take them out and make sure they function in all my .45s. Then load about 3 or 4 thousand of them.

well, i was going to load a picture of a pile of boolits i cast yesterday, but, once again, it won't load pictures or videos. i needed a little stress relief yesterday, so, i cast a whole pile of 165 grain 30 caliber Ranch Dog slugs, Lee 309-150 RNFP, and then finished up with the Lee 401-175 TL boolits. I needed some of all, so.......................... Stress free after a while!!!!!!!

I wanted to try out my new reflex sight on the 45-70 and only had 3 boolits. So found 30 I had cast and sized
back in spring and pc’ed ford light blue at 344 gr ww mixed with stick ons 50-50.

Some 4178 powder at 35 grains will work. Loaded and was able to hit target after bore sighting. And in 6 shots was close to bullseye.

300 yards from house and wife said it was shaking the back door. Well what you think if I loaded it to max? Don’t need that kind of punishment. All good. Henry 015 single shot Brass.

Still working on sizing the 1800+ 9mm bullets I made in the past few day. I figure if I tackle it the same way I'd eat an elephant eventually I'll get it done... One bite at a time.

LEE sizer, one red container+ tonight. Eventually I'll get them done.

Spent yesterday afternoon and this afternoon reorganizing my bench area. Got three kitchen cabinets plus countertop from our recent kitchen remodel. Next I need to get more lighting and electrical outlets in there. Pictures to follow. It’s a much nicer use of space now!

Starting some experimental 30-30 cast bullet loads. I’m only going to load 5 of each recipe to see what’s what.

Changed it up and loaded 150 rounds of 380ACP with 2.4 grains of W231 instead of 2 grains of Red Dot. The 231 metered much better at these low charges. Using the Lee 356 95 RF

397 Small Pistol Primers installed in dinky little 9mm cartridges. My RCBS hand primer put 3 in sideways. I need to get the APS set up for small primers, finally got the part.

The brass was range pickup and a dozen of the cases wouldn't prime and there was a ring indented around the pocket. Crimped? I thought that was rifle only.

Nope, Ive ran into a lot of Winchester military cases with crimps. I started with putting them through the Dillon swager, but they don't stay straight. Grabbed the Lyman Case Pocket tool and cut the crimps out. When Im sorting 9mm, I pull those to the side and cut them.
