My reloading room is also my tinkering room. Today was not really reloading, it was installing a flip-up sight hood for the Bomar sight on an XP100. These hoods are no longer being made, that I know of. I lucked up and found a new one. It came in today and now resides on that XP.

Bouncing between building 12 ga cas loads on my antique Bair and .45acp on my Dillon. The old and the new. Doing that while I’m messing with a M12 that I’m building into a riot gun.

Went into the room to process some 44 magnum brass. I couldn't find my deprime/resize die so I ended up modifying a magazine for 300 BO to make it stop biting my cast boolits...

Good to see that it is becoming 45-70 season again... I think I've still got 80 full power loads and probably need to cast some.

I need to load up some .45-70 smokeless loads so I can sight in the scope on my Winchester high wall. Haven't rolled blackpowder loads for it in years. Of course, it will go through my smokeless rifle powder stores pretty dang quickly. Or use some Trailboss. 13 grains with a 405 grain boolit might be fun.

Loaded up some 300 Savage with the Lee 155 grain .312 sized to .311 over 16 grains of 2400. Going to see how it works in the 722 this week. 309 diameter bullets have never performed well in that rifle, so I'm going up to 311.

    That's a lot of work. I love the 8x57.

Cast about 100 MP 432-640 with the penta point. It sure is hard to get perfect noses on those guys...
Then cast about 10 lbs of 00 Buck with a lee mold...

Headed to the range tomorrow to meet my brother and sight in my new Ruger Predator in .308. Cranked out 30 rounds of .308 using 150 grain bullets. 15 were Hornady Soft Points and 42 grains of 4895 and the other 15 were Hornady BTs using 40 grains of 4895. Also had a few other recipes left over from my AR-10 using 168 grain and 178 grain bullets. We'll see what the new rifle likes.

I have a Gen 5 Glock 23. They are different. Gen 2-4 G23 barrels are all interchangeable. Gen 1-4 Glock 9mm barrels are also interchangeable, but the Gen 5 barrels are not.

Installed a new to me Dillon 650 press and finding out what is not right with it and why the previous 2 owners wanted to sell it. It has some issues and worked thru a few last night.

The part that rotates the shell plate, called the indexing pawl or hatchet wouldn’t engage and do its job. That was because the spring that pulls back the plastic rotator was stretched about 1/2’’. That was a trick changing out, also has 3 spare parts kits on hand.

After changing that spring, she rotates fine without jerking the plate too badly.

Also included in the deal was boxes of brass, 9mm, 45acp, 308, along with a Lyman vibrator, 5 tool heads, 2 spare parts kits, and numerous other parts and pieces for the press. Just had to drive 300+ miles to pick it up and deal with traffic around the Houston area.

Really didn’t need the press but will have set up with both primer sizes, , ready to go when those pesky 45s show up with small primer holes.
