Got two bags of 3" pre primed 12 gauge Cheddite hulls and a Lee 00 buck mold to help fill them with. Can't wait to touch one off. Yikes.

Got a henry in 308,x51 brass doesn't fit. Trimmed a bunch of LC. Had to grind 10 thou off the shell holder to chamber. I pulled and reloaded these cases 3 times to get it all right. MOA @ 100, amax & IMR4895 work fine. Now to cast some 145gr GC & PC when temp gets down to 90F.
Where are you finding 1 in 10 uppers? All I see is 1 in 7. Also I see a lot of pistol length gas systems on the 16" barrels. Must be to run subsonics. What barrel/gas system are you running?

    Still working on 350L.

I wasn't able to cast as I'm home alone with my two boys, but I did cut about 60 wool wads for my 45 muzzleloader. A 12mm punch knocks out .47 cal wads which are perfect for a snug fit. My 5 year old even helped me do it.

I finally got some stuff set up for the 6.5-50 Japanese (more like a 27-08 skinny) .
The custom push through and H&I dies at .2723 and .273 from our own Ammohead seem to be playing nice with the size , check , and lube duties for the to date 270-140 NOE at .272 as cast as well as the 27-130 FP and the paper patch 266469 .

I got some Lilgun powder tried it in two cartridge's was not real happy with it in .351 WSL . I am using a Hornady 140 FTX sized to .351 in the old cartridge I am probably going to go back to 180 weight range. I might just swage my own bullet for this . The reason for disappointment was I am only getting 1700 f/s and pressure seems to be near Max? Load is not even at book max for same weight bullet in .357 Mag. case and it has lower pressure and capacity.

The second was .30 carbine and the Lee .32 caliber 90 grain tumble lube bullet . The bullets were powder coated rather then lubed that were seated a bit deeper then I thought they should be or I would get a round that would not chamber . Velocity was just under 2000 f/s accuracy was 2 inches at 25 yards I need to shoot further later .

Sounds like your Lil'Gun load in the .351 isn't anywhere near max, in fact it's not even generating enough pressure to get Lil'Gun up into its' "sweet spot" which starts around 25kpsi. Where are you getting your load data? Are you shooting it from a pistol-length barrel?

I think you are right today after doing some measurements on spent cases I bumped the load to 18.5 grains primers looked much better . Then I went to 19 grains primers looked quite normal and cases had soot on the forward quarter of them. I will do some more work with the round I use this same bullet unsized in a 27" MGM Contender barrel chambered in .357-44 Bain & Davis it is very accurate and worked well on one deer . It is a mild load pressure wise of AA 1680 doing 2200 f/s I can get more speed but really do not need it . I also have a 10" barrel in that caliber I loose 500 f/s from the 27" barrel and the load shoots terrible.

I have a feeling the appearance of primers may have to do with the gun firing from an open breach and a low pressure . Max. pressure for the old round is 48,200 cup a bit higher then .357 magnum so for data I start with upper end .357 magnum data . Max .357 data for LILGUN under a 140 grain bullet of another make is 18.9 grains , I seat the FTX out past the crimp groove as it seats to deep in case and load data should be about the same as other bullet .

I am shooting it from a 1916 made Winchester model 1907 I size the .357 bullets to .351 . I have recently started using a die I cut on a 1 ton arbor press to size bullets it works better then a reloading press as power is over the entire range of motion rather then top of the ram stroke.

I have now worked up to 20 grains of LILGUN in the .351 WSL under a sized to .351" Hornady 140 FTX bullet no pressure signs cases drop next to me.

I annealed some .45auto/7.62 shotload brass that a generous CB member gave to me. I'm out of #12 shot so I'll use #9.
I also started on fitting a semi inletted classic sporter stock on a Polish Mauser.

Lil'Gun was designed for the .410 shotgun, but it works very well in smaller rifle cartridges, especially the Hornet and .22 Lovell. I burned quite a bit of it in a .357 Max some years ago. It has a "fat tail" to the pressure/time curve, so it isn't so good in short barrels, but it will give you higher MV for a given peak pressure than the old standbys. In a gas-operated semi-auto this may not be good, because port pressures will be higher, and revolver guys complain about it gas-cutting the top strap.

Judging pressure by primer appearance is very imprecise. Time was that it was all the amateur wildcatters had, but now we can get chronographs for a few hundred bucks instead of a few thousand, and we should use them.

Where published data is sparse or non-existent I've been using Quickload software for almost ten years now. Look into it.

Sorted and catalogued brass, bullets and ammo that I inherited from and old and dear friend. A lot of vintage stuff in the mix!

I changed out the Dillon 380 ACP setup to 38 Spl and loaded up some 158 grain Thompson design plain base SWC bullets for the Daughter to take to her CWP class. It is the standard 3.5 grain FBI load at about 700 fps. Figured it would be a nice easy load for her new 637. I also loaded some hotter 125 grain JHP stuff if she wants to try that.

Finally got back in the casting room after my move. It's been more than 8 months!
I was out of 40 cal boolits, so I cast about 400 HTC-188-WF with the cup point. That NOE mold started dropping good boolits straight off the bat and the only throw backs were because I screwed up the pour.

I swaged 500 22rf cases into .224 jackets. Into the wet tumbler tomorrow. Then start casting cores.

Cast up my first Lee 452-230-TCs, to reload the Colt 1911 I picked up to celebrate recent events. And made up my first batch of Ben's Red. Made a cookie cutter with a cork, nail and 45-70 case resized for a snug fit, then pan-lubed the new TCs. First time pan-lubing, I've been an alox user since I started casting. Boolits came out really pretty, I think I'm hooked. I'll be freeing up some brass to use them in this weekend.

DRATT!!! Bought a $20 toaster oven from the local IGA grocery and 400 degrees was more like 600 degrees and I turned about 250 of my 400 boolits into puddles.

Next 150 PC'D fine at "275" which looks a whole lot more like 400 based on the results...
