Today I shot a couple .30-30's with a semi-jacketed 100 gr Speer / 7 gr Bullseye. Sparky little load with no recoil to notice. It wasn't cast, but close enough to add to this conversation about light .30-30 loads. FYI I'll be doing it again.

I have 2 or 300 of those 100gr half jacket bullets also. I figured I would work up a load for them once I get the cast 135's figured out. I loaded up some more of the 135s today with increasing powder charge every 5 rounds, however I forgot about daylight savings time and ran out of light to go shoot them.
Scooby: The Lee C309-113-F works good for me, lubed or powder coated. In my 30-30 and 762x39 I seat it over 9gr. Unique. GP
I use the Lee C309-113-F, tumble lubed, loaded as cast over 2.7 gr of Bullseye. Tackdriver on squirrels and cottontails.
+1 on the 113 LEE over 2.7 hrs Bullseye.
