    I think I Made a 500 round oops

I was loading 9mm with 95g JRN bullets And 6.2g of unique.
    Then I remembered I had 500 121g cast boolits.
And just loaded all 500 of then with the 6.2g of unique.
Wile putting them into boxes it hit me. I think I just did something that is going to let me use my new bullet puller.
gun shooting them would be S&W 9mm pro core 5"

If you tell us the length of the bullet and OAL of the round we can run a Quickload calculation and get pressures.

    Been there bobby65.

Do you have additional brass?? Pulling 500 is daunting unless you do it in stages. I pulled a .30 caliber ammo can packed full of commercial cast bullets .356 sized 125 gr. RN, over a winter.

If you seated them any deeper than 0.1", you are over pressure. If you seated them to the typical 1.135" COL, you are around 44.3kpsi. That pressure will probably not kaboom the gun, but it is considerably over pressure and will probably cause very accelerated wear.

The good news is that you haven't shot them yet. The bad news is you're going to have some fun with that puller. You could do a hundred at a time and get it done in a few sessions all this week.

Good that you have spare brass. It is a lot less formidable if yo do it 20-25 at a time.

I've had to do the same in the past but not 500 of them. Seems like now would be a great time to get the kids involved...I used to let my son pull loads down...tx

Many of times I've seen welders using a carbon arc cutter for hours on end to break up a bad assembly. Nasty equipment and duty that makes a bullet puller seam like a kiss form a pretty woman.

just don't be a hack like me and hit it on the rough concrete floor. Tends to mark up the puller LOL
And just for your info... casting with a single cavity is about as close as you can get to zero production, while still having some production. -- Whitespider

Do you have a friend that has a Ruger SA 9mm/357? If you do it should be able to eat them like candy.

I did that also a wile back on a few that where in the stuff I got from my dad and broke the puller. I looked up pulling bullets and found a thread where they talked about using a wooden mallet to hit against. I will try that to see what happens makes sense to me.

You'll need to add an additional 5 grains of Bullseye to that charge for terrorist ammo. It ensures a complete kaboom!

I was thinking this might be a great excuse to buy a convertible 9mm/ 38/ 357 Ruger Black Hawk....but honey , I've got all this loaded ammo...and think how nice it would be ...one gun using three different types of ammo, would be real useful...

I resemble that remark too. Bought an M1 carbine because a buddy gave me an M1 carbine magazine. Had to get the rifle to go with magazine, right????

It's going to be a real pain to pull that many boolits with a kinetic puller. If it were me in your position, and providing that you cast your own, I would pull them using my press and a pair of pliers. It will go ten times faster. Then it will simply be a matter of recasting the boolits.
