Clark. That's just good stuff there. Wish you still had a photo of tht perp site. We have bounties of coons around here and skunks as well. Getting these old guns out and fixing them back up has been a great walk back thru time. I just wish I had back some of the guns IV sold in my life. Seems like every time I build up a good collection, some doctor or a banker says, "Son, you gonna have to sell all them". Lol. Good photos and thanks for posting them. Better then a magazine to me Brother.

I have a spread sheet of my 22s and trying give each a chance to get a coon.
This old Colt Lightning rifle was made in 1890.

That raccoon is huge. Those old 22's are great for taking game of all types. I dispatched a skunk on Saturday but didn't do it with a 22 but with a full chock 12ga and he was DRT. Didn't want to risk getting sprayed.

Clark. I love those old Colt lightning I and the Marlin 27's as well. I would love to have either one of them in a 32-20. I have a Marlin 20-A that I. Been working on and right now, all I need is an extractor for it and it's complete. Keep the good info and photos coming.

    No dogs.
I caught two in the act of courting, and this one went up a tree.

That 22 looks like an old savage pump. You must have an infection of raccoons. I was having a possum problem for awhile but slowly caught them one at a time stealing cat food. I keep a self feeder out for my mousers and the food was going down faster than normal for awhile. In the spring and summer I have a chicken snake problem stealing eggs or baby chicks when I have them. For that problem I keep a S&W 34 loaded with shot shells and that combination is very effective way of eliminating the problem.

The Pacific Northwest had possums all over the place 30 years ago.
So many were dead on the road that we had "Why did the possum cross the road?" jokes.
I don't see possums any more.
The raccoons have been thick for 10 years.

Oth in these mountains. Always some type of target practice going on if you want it. Ha.

Wcp, those "Shotshells" are lethal aren't they? I keep a few hundred loaded around here all the time. Clark, if you ever want to sell that pump----------- ha. Ha.
