Benjamin titan np & regal np rifles

Just checking to see if anyone has any experience with either of theses .22 air guns? The prices seem cheap enough. A mix of reviews out there. Thanks

i have a Benjamin Trail NP in 22 and have had very good luck with it.I have over 9000 shots though it now.(in fact i just got in from shooting 12ga shells offhand at 25 meters with it) I think its the same power plant as the two you ask about getting a bit over 700 with 14.3g pellets.Mine shoots under 1" at 25 meters pretty regularly and much smaller many times.Just get the aftermarket gold trigger and you will like it.Stock trigger is horrible! I can hit soda cans at 75 yards out the door of my shop pretty regularly.I rarely shoot 22LR after buying 22 airguns.

Good info there. Thanks. Just looking for something for my granddaughters to use when they can't use their 22lr's. Seems like enough power for tree rats and crows maybe a rabbit if close enough.

they are not all that easy to cock for smaller kids. The XS12 .22 sold by flying dragon airguns has less power(500 fps) but is sweet.I shot one in .177 and liked it and just ordered on in 22 last week.Probably not good enough for hunting much over 15-20 yards though. My NP 22 is a good squirell and bird getter to 50 yardsIt will be here Friday i hope.It was $86 delivered.i'll report on it.

i will second what harry said... both are decent rifles if you change out the lawyer trigger, but not going to be usable for a young girl, the xs12 will be much easier to handle and will still take game up close. as for the rabbits, they are far easier to kill than a squirrel, if you are talking cottontails. you can almost scare them to death! LOL

Well, picked up a regal over the weekend for my 14 year old granddaughter. She likes it, not hard for her to cock it. The scope isn't great but works good enough. Looking at the xs12 for the 10 year old.

The guy at flying dragon is gone June 14 until July 1.I wish he would have posted it on his site when I ordered and paid for my XS12 on 6-13!.it looks like a month wait now.I hear all good about him but this isn't cool IMHO.its still not on his site but when you call or email you get the info.

Thanks for the heads up on that. Now time to stock up on pellets. I see the girls burning through tins of them. Have to trade off extra gear to keep them supplied.

I've been so impressed with my granddaughters Regal NP I picked one up for myself today. Worth every penny spent.

A Benjamin 22 cal air rifle like the Trail Nitro Piston is very effective as a hunting rifle. Straight-through penetration, one shot drop dead for a big fat male squirrel using Beeman Crow Magnum 22 pellets.

This rifle is on sale for $150 at Pyramyd Air right now with a scope, decent deal.

It is moderately quiet also. Sounds like a wooden branch breaking when shooting.

For cheap pellets, my gun seems to like Daisy 22 flat nose pellets, which are 1 cent each at Amazon:

Modern 22 caliber break barrel airguns make 22 Rim-fire obsolete up to about 35 yards for target and small varmints IMHO.Especially at trodays 22 LR prices for ammo!

I've almost bought it twice I think the next time it's on sale I'll probably get it. I have a Benjamin Blue Streak I'm just getting tired of pumping.
