    DEADBEAT - Komodoj

I made a trade with Komodoj and he was short 10 pcs of 45-70 brass. Notified him of the shortage and was assured that he would get them in the mail right away. Brass never showed up and he stopped communicating.

Reluctently this is where it ended up. Over 10 pcs of brass.

There is no problem so great, that it cannot be solved by the proper application of high explosives.

How can 5 bucks of brass be worth one's reputation??? Or 500 bucks for that matter....

Unfortunately it is very easy.... some of us value our reputation greatly... others are nothing more than a total waste of time.... I know I had actually looked at the .380 he offered.... now I wouldn't touch anything of his.... Over the years I have done many, many deals with others here, and so far, I have never been burned...

You might feel differently if YOU were shorted 10 pieces of .45-70 brass. That's a little different than 10 pcs. of 9mm, .40S&W or .45acp. I think most guys would feel a little bent about that.

Yes, thanks for the "heads up", after all, that's the real reason for threads such as this.

I am familiar with 45/70...and there is virtually no value with 10 pieces of brass.

A gross exaggeration and classless post.

I think I'd look at what fraction of the value is missing. If he paid for 500 but only received 490, then yeah that would be chocked up to scale inaccuracy or honest mistake. If I paid for twenty and received ten, I'd be miffed, 'cuz I probably had a very specific need for twenty. Just my thoughts...

When I trade/sell brass,I always make sure of the amount plus e4xtra if I have it.I made a trade with this one member that inquired about the amount which was correct but somewhere along the line the box was opened and retaped but the ziplock bag that I had put them in got lost.I always use a zip lock bag for loose items plus tape.I think the Post Office opened the box for inspection.
Are my kids/grandkids more important than "o"'s kids, to me they are, darn tooting they are!!! They deserve the same armed protection afforded "o"'s kids.

FYI, zip lock bags suck for shipping brass and bullets. Better to put it in a USPS Tyvek bag, nothing breaks out of those things. And from my experience the Post Office re-taped the box for you because it was torn open from the loose items inside busting out the side. Or it rattled so much they were checking for damage. I have boxes sent to me re-taped all the time, fortunately mostly things are not missing.

I hate to read this. It's always been a source of pride that the gentlemen here are men of their word.

No way I would tarnish my rep over some piddly pcs of brass.
