9mm 135 grain cast flat point ---

I recently came across some .358 diameter 135gr. castings with a flat nose
that are about .585 in length with a meplat of about .25.
There seems to be very little data for the 135 grain.
Shouldn't this be a pretty good one for a 9mm Star bm model with Unique,
Win. 231, or SR-4756 ?

I don't know. I just ordered a 135gr 9mm mold from Al at NOE. I haven't looked for any loading data yet, but I can't imagine it would be hard to find. You might try Hodgdon Reloading Data center on line (I can't do it from work, firewall) or look in any of tons of reloading manuals, Lee, Lyman, Speer, Ken Waters Pet Loads (my fav).. I'll be looking soon myself. Mike

There are loads in Lee's manual. Ioad a 135 grain MP bullet overtop of W231.

I recently purchased the 135fp mold from NOE and found it to be a superb boolit for my 9mm. It feeds well and is very accurate.
I used starting loads from about halfway between the 125grain and 147 grain starting loads for starting out.
This particular mold design has less of the boolit inside the case allowing more room for powder and therefore slightly less pressure with a given powder charger than other boolits with more of the boolit inside the case.
The mold itself works very well and produces very good, consistent projectiles.

I have been shooting 135s for 4 or 5 years.....I like them.

3.8 to 4.0 grains of WST works great.

Thanks for all the answers. I have several reloading manuals but no data on the 135gr.
I was interested in trying to duplicate the Hornady Critical Duty Plus P load at about 1110 fps.
Wonder if Ken Waters ever tested any in that weight range ?

I was running 3.0g of Nitro100NF under a 135g boolit with great accuracy and function before I switched to a 356402.

Check out Lyman 47th Reloading Handbook. 9mm Luger, Lyman 356634 130gr #2 alloy, 1.016" OAL. W231 2.6 to 4.1gr max, Clays 2.2 to 3.2 max. I used several pounds of AA#2 & Imp version through Blkhk and P95 at 3.7grs.

I found a can of Herco & wonder how it'll do in the 9mm ?
Bullets came from G. Patton in Georgia & are very high quality.

I have no experience with Herco. I do however, have an older Alliant data manual that shows 9mm loads for Herco.
125gr L 6.2 gr 1165fps 28k psi
147XTP 4.9 gr 1010fps 30.5k psi

Herco is not listed, but Unique is at max 4gr, also BlueDot max 6.5gr

It's always safe to use heavier bullet data for lighter bullets. Just use 147gr data & work up.

I finally got to try some out with Win. 231. Slightly less than 1 inch groups
at 15 yards shooting off the back of an old chair. Cuts a nice round hole
in the paper - probably from the slight shoulder.

I just un-boxed my NOE .356 9 MM 135 Grain RNFP mold.

BEAUTIFUL!

Getting a harder alloy ready, I've been casting 38 Special with
9/10 Brinell alloy, I'm going to step up to 14/15 or so for 9 MM.

Cast then coat with the NEW HI-TEK GOLD 1035.
