Mutton Tallow interest?

So far I have ordered four 12-oz containers of mutton tallow from Dixie, in two orders. The first two were nearly white, the second a little more yellow brown in color. All four smelled the same (to me very pleasant) and none have gone rancid. That's the great thing about the stuff; formulations with it can sit in a lubrisizer for months without separating or decomposing. The only "problems" I've seen are that it's rather pricey coming from Dixie and the supply seems to be very irregular. It has dried up for a year with no explanation, and then is suddenly available again.

I'd go for 5 lbs, depending on price.

Properly made tallow will store unrefrigerated indefinately if nothing eats it.......I might be in for a pound or two of the good stuff, just because I cannot help myself.

I have heard that one does not need velcro/fences for sheep loving, all one needs is a pair of tall redball boots, but that is just what I heard. I think the feller that told me that was from Montana.
