    Savage o/u 24 222rem/20 scope

    Looking for opinions on a scope for the Savage 24 222/20 .

    Would like to work up a good 3" slug load some day.

    Any 3x9 that may work for this?

    Plan on using the 222 for shooting and thinking I'll may need more the a shotgun scope.

    I am thinking a 1.5-5 would be OK. .222 is not a long range caliber and I doubt the Savage 24 is going to be accurate enough to push past 200 yards or so. That is what I would start with anyway. Plus I have two of them and they seem OK for short to medium range work. Also, they are going to be a tad lighter than a 3-9.
