    Too easy

I cant believe how easy it is to DT with harbor freight red and a walmart toaster oven. Will shoot them tomorrow and see how they do. Also, one coat seemed to be good enough (right) even though 2 coats was prettier

You guys are going to get me to stop in at harbor freight this week and buy a bottle or two of red, and some cool whip! I already got a toaster oven, now question is what to try first pistol or rifle.

I held off as long as I could, but reading youz guyz successes I had to try. For me PCing is faster than pan lubing, easier than dip lubing and more efficient than tumble lubing. The PC'd bullets shoot quite well in my 9mm, .44 Magnum Ruger and 629, and my .44 Magnum Puma. I'm coating Ranch Dog 240 gr. and 265 gr. bullets sans gas checks. For my 9mm (and .38 and .357 Mag.) I'm coating Lee's 125 gr. RNFP...

I've been experimenting with adding red to the matte black to increase adhesion, and with just a little red it is sticking good. Just doing this to stretch the red and it's working fine. I have the gun but might sell it as I don't really have a place to spray coat and am not interested in making bullets pretty, just functional.

What amounts of red and black are you mixing together?

I haven't done enough to have developed proportions yet, the test was add black and swirl, observe powder not sticking add dash of red and repeat. Ran out of bullets and no time to make more yet.

But you will notice as you let a red cloud drop the black starts to get taken up. Once I have even coverage I pick up the bullet wearing nitrile gloves and place on nonstick foil.

Really easy and quick. I actually ran thru all my bullets doing this, I just left the oven on while I made a batch once that was cooking I tumbled another one, when the timer dinged I took it the tray and slid the foil with the bullets off the tray being careful not to tip them then added another foil and more bullets and back to cook. Really efficient process before I knew it I was out of test bullets.

Darn, another thing to try - spray the boolits in the tub, then swirl. You guys need to stop giving me all these crazy ideas. Opps, my fault for reading this stuff.
