    A Marine came to visit.

Daniel is a kid I helped raise down the street. He just got back from boot camp and wore his dress uni to see us. I'm as proud as if he were my own.

Seemed fitting for my 400th post.

Nother jarhead! (kidding). It is great to see the ones that are still Americans! (From another crusty old coot)
We need somebody/something to keep the government (cops and bureaucrats too) HONEST (by non government oversight).

Every "freedom" (latitude) given to government is a loophole in the rule of law. Every loophole in the rule of law is another hole in our freedom. When they even obey the law that is. Too often government seems to feel itself above the law.

We forgot to take out the trash in 2012, but 2016 was a charm! YESSS!

Did you recognize him in the uniform or did it take ya a second?

Congrats on bringing a MAN into the world. I know many who have raised children but I'm still waiting for quite a few to turn into adults.

You should feel proud, and honored, to have helped produce that jarhead.

One of the most endearing sights in the world is the vision of a naked good-looking woman leaving the bedroom to make breakfast. Bolivar Shagnasty (I believe that Lazarus Long also said it, but I can't find any record of it.)

SALUTE! Great to see a young man succeed. Thank him for me,from this Air Force veteran.
He is your friend, your partner, your defender, your dog.
You are his life, his love, his leader. He will be yours, faithful and true, to the last beat of his heart.
You owe it to him to be worthy of such devotion."
