I didn't buy any powder but I found a 4# keg of Unique I didn't Know I had...
As I said to someone else that's like digging in your pocket for change and finding a $100 bid
you didn't know you had.

Well it was last week from some one that bought a lot of stuff and will never reload.8lbs hs6 150.00
1 pound 5744
1 1/4 lb. IMR 4198 and 1 lb. Alliant Reloder 7 for my SKS.
My 2lb of Unique and 1lb of 2400 was delivered today as part of our club order. At $19.80 a pound, I should've bought more! Oh the 2400 was $20.
None. I checked Powder Valley tonight and had an order all ready to go- some Hodgdon CFE Pistol for $127/8lb, some 1 lb cans of Winchester 296, and some AA2460. They even advertised free shipping up until today.
I then talked to my wife about finances, which led to a deeper look into finances and family budgets. Long story short- I'm done buying anything gun-related for the foreseeable future.
Two pounds of tightgroup because I couldn't afford the four pound bottle next to them. I was feeling a little depressed about that until three pounds of 231 I forgot I had fell out of the cabinet when I went to put them away. I'm doing fine!
Ran into a guy at the range he was in withdraw mode as he only had a 1/2 of Unique left. I said; got an 8 pounder unopened I can cut you out a pound for $15.00. The following week I filled a one pound coffee can for him.
The world is a better place now.
Freaked out a little. It's been a hot minute since I've gone pistol powder shopping. I opened up Widners, Grafs, and Powder Valley. Not only did all three have stock but they also had a little bit of selection to choose between. And they all had 4# and 8# containers. I didn't know what to do. I actually had to make a choice. It wasn't easy but I went with the CFE Pistol. Hope I did a good pick.
Disclaimer: Reloading and casting I only look at cents/round and ignore any other costs
from what I have seen of the cfe pistol powder it looks like a very useful one.
it needs more work done to wring out it's capability's, but I think there is more in it than what all is published.
16 lbs of 800x from Powder Valley. I love it in my New Vaq 45 and 44 mag loads. I recently bought 16 lbs of IMR 4227 and 12 lbs of Power Pistol for my big bore plinker loads.
I snagged 2 pounds of aa-1680.
but left behind a bunch of titegroup, some hp-38, 800-x,long-shot, universal, and some international clays.
I hesitated at the titegroup as I used to shoot a lot of it, but passed.
the universal was tempting too, but I got enough unique to last 30 years or so.
I want to up my Universal to that status 30 years
I passed on an 8#er of BE-86 at Cabela's on Thursday. First time I've seen a jug of anything there in a long time. The price of $175 is what stopped me. It's not out of line for this area. Just more than I'm willing to spend. They had a bunch of Universal on the shelf. I probably should have bought it since it's being reformulated. Price stopped me for that one as well.
