Did a quick visit to my favorite LGS and as usual lately, the powder shelf was pretty light (zero primers of course) but there were a few options. They have a limit of 2lbs per customer, so I picked up 2 bottles of N135. I've never used any Vihtavouri powder before, but Hornady #11 has Garand data with it plus other calibers I load for.

Though i hate to order less than an 8# jug, i ordered 2# of 5744 to use in my Henry single shot. Been using 4198 and some Swiss 2Fg black powder.

    Bought:

    2 lbs. Varget

    1 lbs. 4198

    1 lbs. SR 4759

    Sealed cans, $80.

Yeah, I'm bragging even though It's all going to buddies for the same $20/lbs. Got to start shooting what I got or my daughter is going to be cursing my name when I'm gone.

(and we won't tell her about the 15 pounds of mixed varieties of powder I bought Wednesday for $50.)

And 6000 primers, mix of full bricks SR, LR and SP. Same thing, all going to the rummies I shoot rifle with.

This was all dead guy stuff that came into a trap and skeet club that I hang around at.

Those boys didn't have a clue on what any of this stuff is for.

And there's more to come, apparently this guy was more of a pack rat then I am.

Didn't buy any, but was rummaging thru a cupboard in the reloading room and stashed at the back I found this.
I new I had a few pounds, but not this much. The can are all full.

Midway has IMR 4895 which I am out of so I bought the limit of 2 pounds. Also a pound of BLC2 which I have not used before. I got the shipping confirmation, due later in the week. Still shown as available if anyone else is interested.

Not a 4064 can, but rather a old 3031 can.

The last powders that I bought were a pound of Alliant Extra Lite for 30.00. I’m building WW AA 12ga 7/8 oz #408 powder bushing cas loads with it. Seems to feel the same as my Clays or Clay Dot loads. Prior to that I found a pound of American Select for 27.00 that I know nothing about and haven’t broken into yet. Hoping it’s a decent powder. Trying to save my other regular sg powders for my .45 rifle and handgun loads

I stumbled in to 10lbs of Bullseye and 2 pounds of IMR4895. I'm a happy camper! Oh, 8K of LP primers too! It was a good day.

Made the local gun show today, bought three pounds of WW 748 for $75! I’ll take that! Passed on an unopened 8# can of Hercules 2400 for $200, though, as I have plenty. Might go back tomorrow and get it to pass onto somebody else! $285 for 8 pounder of Unique, passed also as I got plenty.
One table had all powders except for black powder substitutes was a flat $50 per pound! Not paying $50 for old Hercules Bullseye in the gold and red paper can! IF I needed it, still wouldn’t buy it. Just sayin’

Well I can't say I bought it today but I was going through some boxes in my storage shed looking for some of my casting equipment and low an behold what a nice discovery. Two 8 pounders and a pound of 748. Looked up the price on these at Midway and was truly shocked at the going price. Glad I found these lost jugs, these have been hiding since fall of 2020. Hmmmm. Maybe there's more hiding around here somewhere.
