Yesterday I picked up a # of Win 244 @ $23.00 for .38 Special and .45 Auto. Scheels in Sioux Falls had a good selection of primers at $79.99, bought one to replace a 'k', I borrowed from my brother. No Alliant powders in stock. hc18flyer

1# of R7 and 1# of IMR4895. Have to try and feed the WASR with cast bullets this year.

I bought a pound of Shooters World AR Plus to try out. About $28 + tax at Scheels.

Not today but recently. 8# H110, 2# IMR 4064, 2# Benchmark and 1# TAC. I was going to buy 8# of both Benchmark and 4064 but they were out of the 8 pounders. I've never used TAC and bought it to try.

A pound of Power Pistol for $31. I know nothing about it but it was there and I grabbed it.

How does it work in 9mm, 380, and 38?

Heads up, Brownells has Unique powder in #1 and #8, no #4. I bought some #8'ers.

accurate #5. First time ever. Two pounds for 63 bucks to the gun room. I have no clue if this is a good deal or not.

Lucked into 2 pounds of 5744 at a semi-local gun shop. Suspect it's dead guy stuff. It was on a counter away from all the normal powder inventory with a dozen+ cans of other powder. Appears to be factory sealed yet.

    $40/lb.

    It called my name. Loudly.

I saw 1 pound jugs of HS-6 at a local sporting goods store. I can always use more of that so I grabbed one.

Today I stopped in at Guns Unlimited in Omaha. They had several Alliant powders in stock including Red and Green Dot. I was really suprized at $55.00 a pound! Needless to say I didn't buy any, hc18flyer

Put 2 and 2 together and realized that one of my friends lives in Owensboro, KY where Jeff Bartlett operates....

He picked up some imr7383 and wc872 for me and it will make it's way north via friends and family more slowly but much more cheaply than shipping it.

Lucked into 55 lbs of IMR4759 last week! Love this powder for 45-70 and 50-70. Frank Barnes in his book "Cartridges of the World" describes 4759 as a single base smokeless powder that is a perfect replacement for black powder. My Gatling guns never see black powder! Too expensive and too messy !!!

First of May, Alliant did an across the board 30% price increase. LGS had a copy of the letter to them posted on the counter. Cited increased raw materials and labor costs.

Ouch. I've been trying to purchase powders that I can use when at sale prices. Doesn't always work out, but have been getting some. Even if I've never used them before.

A local gun trader mag had a fellow selling off the assets of a reloader who passed away and I got four pounds of H110 and four pounds of Unique, both of which I needed. At $25 per pound it was a welcome infusion of much needed powder.
    Regards,

I didn't buy it today, but I bought VV N105 propellant for .38 Super, just in time to learn that the Finns discontinued its production. Dad gummed Lapps, I thought they were on OUR side! (JOKE)
