    Unique load for Miha's H&G 503

I have been searching past postings for a load for Miha's H&G 503 434-256 non-hollowpoint with no luck. My boolits are dropping at about 256gr, and I got a hold of 4#s of Unique. I'd like to get a starting load from someone here who has a proven recipe to share. I'll be shooting out of my 6.5" pre-29, and soon out of my new addition Ruger 7.5" Redhawk. Thanks!

10 grains of Unique, Federal 150 been using it for years with that boolit and others up to 270 grains in the 44 magnum. This is no starting load, but the "book" maximum is higher.

I agree, for what it is worth, 10gr Unique is a great load for full weight bullets in .44mag. It is easy to remember, too.

Start with 7.5 of Unique and work your way up to 10.0 Both pistols you mention ARE NOT recoil friendly, maybe with some Packmeyers or larger
    grips with finger grooves.

I have Miha's H&G 503 plus four other molds for the 44 in the same weight range. I have come to use 9gr in five different 44 mags that I own. I tried 10 gr and all I got was increased recoil with much larger groups. 9 grains is the sweet spot for everything I own. It will give complete pass through on broadside whitetails.
