I'm going to try and attend. Currently have a scheduling conflict. If I can re-schedule the medical appt without waiting several weeks I'll be there.
As of right now, best answer I can give is 'if I am in town, I will be there'
I'll be there.

Won't make it. My SASS outfit is having a range cleanup / and Winter Range practice day. Maybe next time.
Have Fun,

Sorry guys I have to miss it. Got my schedule all botched up. My medical apt is tomorrow
but my gun club meets on Saturday at 1:00. I have a close friend that lost his eyesight after being wounded in Viet Nam. Despite his blindness he is an avid gun collector and is depending on me to drive him to and from the club meeting.
I would like to extend in invitation to all of you to attend the February gun club meeting for a future Arizona Cast Boolit get-together The meeting is held at a VFW in the Sunnyslope area. Possibly we could all get together after the meeting and grab a bite to eat. Unfortunately non VFW members and the public have access to the club meeting but not to the bar area. Something in regards to the VFW's liquor license, the bar area is strictly VFW members or the member's guest only. There are numerous restaurants in the area.
The gun club is geared more toward collectors than shooters and hunters but all gun people, their spouses and family are warmly welcomed. There is never any pressure to become a dues paying member. I can assure any of you that might be interested it wont be a waste of time. Collectors bring in anything from modern to antique, sporting and military. Not necessarily guns, sword, bayonet and militeria collectors are participants.
Each meeting in a small way is also a mini-gunshow. Members often bring in guns, gun related or military surplus items for trade or sale. Before and after the official business and the show and tell portion of the meeting. There is often some wheeling and dealing.
I'm probably killing a golden goose for me as I've scored some real bargains there on molds and hand loading components. About 6 months ago I got a Lee mold for only 2 bucks. He had a few things, what he called "junk items" for sale. I asked price on the mold and he said "oh how about a couple bucks". Another member beat me to the 5 partial and nearly full boxes of Sierra 7MM jacketed bullets for $10.00. The seller, a retired MD was more interested in showing off his factory custom shoulder stocked late 1800's Colt Peacemaker.
As much as I'd like to ditch the meeting and meet up with all of you. I can't leave my blind friend looking for a ride at the last moment. If you guys discuss a future get-together and might be interested in meeting up at my gun collector's club please let me know. I can't give a date for the next meeting as the meeting area has to be scheduled around VFW events and needs. I will post the date as soon as I get the monthly newsletter.
Hope you guys all have a good time as I kick myself in the butt for not paying closer attention to my calendar. I'll be looking forward to meeting up with all of you at the next get-together.
BossHaug made me aware of this meeting late yesterday. I plan on being there and I think he may show up also.
I do plan on making the meeting. I presume we will be eating there too. (I know I'll be hungry).

We indeed had a good gab-fest, and good eats, too. I'm the only one who drank beer, and I feel - well - I don't know how I feel. Flanny's worked well, I think, but son Jim says that the Ben Avery area is swamped with eating places, so that will be a destination in the future. And a trip West to Larry's bailiwick sounds like a deal, too, as well as the gun club there in PHX. We will do it again...
