    mosin nagant sights

might be a dumb question. the mosin nagant as every one knows has the original adjustable rear sights. With my load of 11.5 grains of unique and my noe 314-210-rn bullet i am zero height wise at 50 yards. at 100 yards i知 3 inches low. because, i was low i decided to adjust my rear sight up one notch which, now i知 zeroed again at 100.

what is the proper way. do i adjust sights based on the range or keep zero at 50 and hold over 3 inches at 100 yards ?

If you adjust your sights to be spot on at 100 yards your rifle will shoot "minute of Bambi" all the way there. If you have to hold over to make the shot, your front sight may be obscuring the target.

i did do a OCW test from 10-13 grains in .5 grain increments . i felt like it fell off at 12.5. 11-12 grains seemed best. i need to load up more and could do 12 grains next time.
