    Talking I'm hooked

I've been following this site for several months and I've found a home! Long time loader and haphazard caster. (30 plus years)

I like the idea of powder coating and bought a HF PC setup and toaster oven. I tried powder coating today and did MOST things right. I didn't know that a toaster oven gets hot enough to cause lead boolits to slump and melt a little! While trying to keep the temp from being too low I set it too high.

I really like the PC idea and can't wait to start casting for my rifles. Thanks to all you on this forum for your help and knowledge. I shall now spend a fortune on rifle caliber moulds and such.

    Jump

    P. S. Why are they called boolits?

It's just to differentiate them from store-bought projectiles. We have boolits (that you make yourself) and bullets (that you order from somewhere) and j-words (bullets with that copper coating on them).

Is your toaster oven a 'convection' type with a little fan inside?

Don't be shy, post some purty boolit pics!
