    Speaking of mini-lathes

I drove by a flea market yesterday and saw a lathe in the back of a truck with a sign that said $200 on it. It turned out to be a Jet 9x20. The only accessories with it were a 4 jaw chuck and the tool holder. No centers, nor face plate, nor steady, etc. The change gears were also missing so the power feed and threading capability ist kaput. It also needs a new v-belt. I ended up getting it for $160 delivered to my door.

The seller thinks he might have the gears, the face plate and the steady, in which case I will tender a little more cash. It was not used very much as the ways show very little wear. Even if the other stuff doesn't show up it is better than my little 5x12 mini-mini lathe and I can probably get my money out of it when I find a real lathe that I want.

Trailblazer, you got a good deal on that lathe. And if the seller has the stuff you mentioned even better. I love making chips. Frank
