I've been "finishing" my military barrels, after cleaning them as clean as I could get them, with Flitz metal polish.
Comes out really clean, shiney and smooth.
Anyone try this???
Any comments????

I've hand lapped several barrels with Flitz. So far it has always paid off. Lots of work. Barrels clean easy and, at least in my mind, they perform better.
Before I learned what "really" was causing my lead fouling, I flitzed alot of barrels.
[this was before I found this site, before I was casting my own, I was loading commercial lead bullets and not knowing anything about alloy hardness/softness]
While it didn't cure my lead fouling issues, it sure made the Next lead fouling easier to clean out I never did any accuracy tests though ?
