>303,30-40 Krag, 444 Marlin are some choices. Check the rim/bolt face diameter first though.....
How about a rebore?35-303 or 375-303. The Common Wealthcountries did to the 303 all we have done to the 30-06. Necked it up and down to suit their needs.
375-303 should drive a boolit 2000+fps. Not much needs more killing than that........

Barrel is trashed has to be replaced. I am thinking synthetic stock pillar bedding bipod turning it into a hunting rifle
