    .17 Winchester Super Magnum Rimfire

On the cover of the Aug 2013 edition of The American Rifleman mag, brass should be good for .270 , maybe a little larger jackets!

Maybe a light weight 260 Remington too.
Would make a dandy varmint bullet.
My guess is the brass is thicker than 22 mag brass.

The brass is thicker with the .17 Winchester Super Magnum Rimfire. It's based on their 27 caliber blank round for driving nails into concrete, etc.. I handled the brass at the SHOT Show in January, and the first thing you notice is how heavy it is for it's size. Since the only rifle made for it is the Savage, it will probably be awhile before it starts showing up on the range floor..

    Hope this helps.
