    A plea to the MODS.....

Please excuse me if this is a bit "forward", or if this has been brought up before, but may I suggest that a separate section be dedicated to the *new, hi-tech* boolet COATINGS????? (paint, epoxy, powder coat, etc.) Judging by the ongoing threads, there's enough traffic to warrant it, also meaning that the more "traditional lubers" have to wade through a lot of this new-fangled stuff to find what they're looking for.

    Respectfully,

    Dan

I like the new coatings and do like reading about them but this is the boolit lube area not boolit coating. How about we make a sub area like was made for the Star lube sizers for the coating folks?

I wouldn't mind a separate sub section so I don't have to wade through all of the traditional lube threads anymore. That stuff is so out of date it has mold on it!

Looking through the topics, the powder coating part is pretty small. Just another tool in the box. I don't see a new section coming on.
The solid soft lead bullet is undoubtably the best and most satisfactory expanding bullet that has ever been designed. It invariably mushrooms perfectly, and never breaks up. With the metal base that is essential for velocities of 2000 f.s. and upwards to protect the naked base, these metal-based soft lead bullets are splendid.

Forget everything you know about loading jacketed bullets. This is a whole new ball game!

If you see "powder coating" or "piglet method" or "hi-tech coating" in the title, just don't read it! (Hi-tech is good for me!!!!)

When I see "lube" in the title...........I don't read it. Plain & simple.

We wade thru a lot of other "stuff" all the time that should not even be on here.

Same with "porno" on the web........if you do not want to see it, don't look at it.

    Nonsense!, I say.

It's gonna fade out pretty fast anyway. It's just another high-tech gimmick to get you to buy stuff. Just like when they came out with them fancy brass ca'tridges.

I told everybody "Yep, you don't need that newfangled stuff... just pour some powder down there, stuff a ball down on it, and go kill yerself a deer. You'll feel better and realize it was all just a fad.Mark my words! Brass is just a passin' thang!!!"

And it'll be so with this paint and coat and dip and craziness too..... A little bear grease and beeswax and anything will slide right down a barrel.
You don't need to have no space travel science know-how to be able to put a bear steak on the table.
You kids listen to me, ya hear!!!

I don't see a need. I can easily tell most threads that will interest me and skip the rest.

NO! NO!, NO!. I suggested the same, "separate but equal" section a few months ago and got my butt stepped on thoroughly! Some of the old timers took great offence that anyone should suggest such a blasphemous idea of a separate section for the new coating threads. Don't you know by such a suggestion you're showing your stupidity and can't read headings and skip threads? Shame on you for even thinking about that!!

Besides, there's only 12 threads on the subject on the first page and one thread only has 1,477 replies...

We suggested a separate section in the Shotgun forum and both the idea and the forum got blowed-up. Never the same. So I suggest keeping it the same.

Wow guys. I am amazed. Is it that hard to sort thru the threads. We are guests on this site. You are asking the site owner to make changes to please you?

Stop whining and just deal with it. Those of us who don't use a coating aren't complaining, maybe you guys should take a hint.

I'm new, so my opinion don't mean squat, but I like it the way it is. Because I am new, It's easier for me to view all the different methods and opinions all in one place. YMMV

Funny, I thought it was the traditional lube folks who were doing g the complaining. The op was anyway.

I'm new likewise , but don't see anything wrong with the way it is ... Just skip reading it if you don't like Epoxy or powder coated bullets. New info is new info, the epoxy coat fad isn't going anywhere due to the great luck, and awesome results they are getting .

I started out pan lubing........then tumble lubing...........both are a royal pain in the keister. Now EVERYTHING I cast & shoot is gun-PC'd. Perfect every time.

The other guys have their tried and true ways of greasing up the slugs with all kinds of witch's brews and hog fats. Fine.

Let the people that want to try something new go with it.................and don't complain about having to skip a thread or two you aren't interested in. I could care less about black powder, shot guns, MiHeck molds, who found lead today, and the such. But I just skip them, knowing AND respecting (key word there) there are those out there that really enjoy those subjects.

    Live and let live!

It makes sense to have a dedicated section. It keep things a lot more organized easier to find. BTW , bullet coatings should be considered a soft jacket and not a lube.

But it is what it is.....

Stop your whining! This sounds like the difference between Catholics and Protestants. Maybe even between different members of the same faith from different churches. I melted the lead and poured the bullets. What's the difference how I shoot it? Some people are just afraid to try something new. I enjoy trying new things related to shooting and I'm glad I'm not stuck in a "tradition". Don't turn your nose up at those that try different things. I don't mind others wanting to continue with the traditional lube and hope they don't become holier than thou. If you don't like a certain television program just change the channel.

    Los "Tres Amigos" have spoken...

It's merely a simple idea put out there to make it easier for those interested to find their favorite threads. It does not indicate stupidity, inability to read, impatience, or trouble skipping threads. I don't remember such a stink when someone suggested separating smokeless from black powder paper patching, or adding a section devoted to gas checks.
