Had a hands on look at the new Icon yesterday. If it shoots as good as it looks it will be fantastic. Great wood, terrific metal to wood fit also. This one was chambered for the 30TC.

I had a chance to check out one at the range two weeks ago that was due to be reviewed, also in .30TC. (It's basically a 7.5Swiss case of slightly different dimensions.) The chrono'd velocities were much lower than advertised, right in the .308 range with the Hornady factory ammo, not anything spectacular. The accuracy was around 2-3" for 3shots@100y from a rest, and with them the rifle recoiled like a .300mag. Not at all fun to shoot and not accurate enough with that ammo/chambering to be interesting.
That said, the rifle is absolutely beautiful, the workmanship is supurb, and I'd love to have one in a conventional chambering like .358, .308, .260, .243, or .22-250.
Rifle: a winner.
Cartridge: IMO not worth the time to bother with when there are already other .30 cals that will do everything it can with less costly dies and brass, and less recoil.
Born OK the first time.
