I just got this mold from Miha a few weeks ago, just for a S&W model 52-2 I bought. Took awhile to figure this one out but now it is casting some great boolits.
They average 151gr so a little heavy with my melt which averages 10-11 BHN.
The one thing I did to start getting near perfect boolits everytime was to get the mold super hot, There is so much material there for 4 little boolits it takes the heat with no problem. I sit the mold in my 20lb LEE bottom pour when it gets around 600 and leave it there until it reaches 700, Thats were it stays for all my casting.
The first two castings come out frosty and after that they all turn out nicely filled out and shiny, I have to cast fairly quick to keep the mold at temp, seems to cool off real quick and cause wrinkles.
Cast about 500 the other day and it took me about an hour and 20 minutes. Now to make some time to go shoot these and see how they do.
I set some speer swaged HBWC's next to mine just for reference. The cast ones have nice flat bottom edges and sharp top edge, They cast at .359 on average and I size them to .358
