    Scored Some Nice Tin

Was out on an afternoon ride with SWMBO and we stopped at a little craft shop that specializes in handmade pewter items. While she was looking around I struck up a conversation with the owner and was able pick up a little over 3 pounds of pewter shavings from their lathe. They told me that the composition is 92% tin, 6% lead, 2% antimony, should be perfect to sweeten up my WW melt. Paid less than 1/2 what Rotometals gets for their tin.

That's a good find. Wish I had that kind of good fortune.

    Keep'em Happy.

Sweet. Be sure to keep them Happy... I have a tire shop in Houston where i garner my WW's. Found the shop and asked the owner if he kept the old ones. Yep. Nailed two 5 gallon buckets of them for $40. OK, asked him to save all he could. Went back two weeks later with a case of beer and about a dozen homemade Venison sausage & egg biscuits. (i make the sausage) After loading up more WW's in the PU truck, I went back to pay for the days haul with biscuits and beer in hand. I placed all on the counter and was greeted with smiling faces of proprietor and employees. As I reached for my wallet, i was offered clear instructions, "Gracias amigo. Bueno por!" I too smiled and left the shop with my money in my pocket and the WW's in my truck.

(No..will not reveal where shop is!)
