    Oh wow, the colors dude...

    Strange. I posted the ingots I made yesterday. They looked like pure silver.
    Today I'm making more, using the same lead sheets, and I'm coming out with some crazy colors. I'm sure it doesn't mean much, but it does have me curious. Blues, purples, silver and gold.
    I'm melting the lead in a Lee 4-20.

    There's a post in the stickies "yellow,blue,purple oh my" or something to that effect.

    Short version your pure lead is too hot so you get "rainbows" of oxidation.

    Gold is overheated tin. Blues and purples are overheated pure lead. Rainbow is overheated alloy of some sort.
