I have one of Charlie's 22 cal tools. My checks have notches. Accuracy is as good or better than with Hornady checks. Ditto for my 30 cal tool output. Consider the miniscule amount of weight associated with the small notch.

I have been using several sizes of 338s checks and they have been working great. I actually prefer the aluminum as they seem to crimp on easier.
I have shot quite a few moa groups with my old Smith Corona 1903a3 that is scoped and the aluminum checks.

I have since corrected the notch problem with my tools, any checks that head out will be of top quality.

Ordered checks and mailed payment 8 days ago and haven't heard a peep since. Sent a follow up PM two days ago asking if he got my payment and still no answer. I realize this is a holiday week but... I'm beginning to wonder what's up.

Guess I'm a little impatient-sorry. Checks came today and look very good. No notches like others have reported. Can't wait to put them to use. Thanks Josh!

    338UltraMag..

Worked out a trade with 338UltraMag swapping a mold for his new .41mag. in exchange for some of his gas checks an lemme tell you that feller don't fiddle around. Sent a p.m. last night to see if the mold had arrived and he responded it did and the checks were in the mail. Now, mind ye...this was 9p.m. last night! I stopped by the mailbox at 10:30 p.m. on my way to work an they was there already!! DANG! They're right smart purty and snap right on them boolits and hold tight even before pushing them thru a sizer. Never thought I'd be one to fiddle with gas checks but this seems almost too easy. Never thought I'd fool around loading for that Marlin 30/30 either but had the molds for years so now I figger I got to do it. Off to Midway! Sizer die, 30/30 dies, more "stuff"!! Thanks Joshua! He is a great guy to work with. I ordered some 22 checks from him and they got lost in the mail. He sent me replacements and I had them in three days. Great checks and great service. What more could you ask?

35 cal gas checks seem to fit very tight on my NOE mold. I have to seat them with the press as its impossible to seat by hand, Not sure if its a mold thing or a check thing. Due to this very snug fit when I push them into the sizer the gas check is swaged and it makes a tail under the boolit.

Ill Cast some more this weekend so I can post some pics.

    Anybody else have this issue?

Measure the shank, it should be NO MORE than .341

I have a question. I have a 412640 Mihec mold coming that needs a GC and was wondering if the 416 GC would be the right one to use with this boolit?

    Thanks,

PS: They drop at 0.398-0.399 with ww+ 1% tin
