Can someone send a picture ?

I sent an e-mail to NEI asking about a Lyman 311466 . The don't have one in the catalog , but that doesn't mean they don't have a cherry made for it . They wrote me back and asked for a picture or dimensions of it . Unfortunately I don't have that and I'm not sure I could figure out how to send it .

Could someone send a picture of the 311466 to neihandtools@hotmail.com for me ? I'm sure if they have the cherry it should be cheaper to have a mould cut than if a cherry has to be made . Got to see if they have it first though huh?

I don't see anything even close to it in the NEI listings.

Just tell NEI it's the 150gr Loverin round nose with six grooves and a gas check.

Jack here is a picture, I don't have the dimensions but someone else might.

This came from old buffalo bullet mold table. You can right click on the picture of any bullet and then save the picture, either below or on the old buffalo mold table at http://www.three-peaks.net/bullet_molds.htm . Hope someone can give you the dimensions.

    Jack:

It is also shown (same photo, from the 1973 Second Edition Lyman Cast Bullet Handbook, p. 212), with specifications - but no dimensions - on CASTPICS. Go to <www.castpics.net/Research and Data/ Lyman Moulds.

I have a single-cavity mould for it I could loan you.

    Jack,

I have a nice 2 cavity 311466. Posted is a drawing of the bullet and a dimension sketch using the dimensions of castings from my mould.

    Hope this helps.

Thank you fellas ! Tom that is absolutely beautiful ! I bet that is just what they are looking for . My skills of getting it from here to an e-mail in Patty Melanders computer is what is the challenge though . I'll see if I can figure it out , cyber-stuff ain't my cup o' tea though .
If you see a smoking hole in the ground in the midwest on the evening news tonight , it's just me and the 'puter spending quality time .

Right mouse click on image and a menu should pop up.
Go to "Save Picture as .."
Save it to a location you can remember.

Open up email and attach the picture.

Better yet, copy the following and paste it into the email and she can get it herself.

The fuse is lit ..... I did a right click and it said something about send e-mail so I tried it . It hasn't bounced back yet , but I haven't heard from them yet either .

It would be nice to find they had a cherry of it and getting a four cavity example was not cost prohibitive . I'm sure a couple people here would want one .

    Jack,

Looks like you are off and running on both fronts, the picture and geting it to NEI.

By the way, I see you understand the phrase off and running as you know you have lit the fuse.

Let us know how you fair.

I haven't got a e-mail back from them yet today , I could call them but it's after five now ................. hmmmmm . Oh wait , Texas is prolly two hours behind us here

I'd like to see one o' these molds but if I don't I think I got a nice four cavity hundred and seventy grain mold that will do the job .
