Another thought for increasing BC on a long pointy would be to have golf ball dimples, but that could be really tricky to cut in a mold, especially where it would have to miss the parting line.

I'm working on the softserve jobbie, it's on my to-do list for sure.
Problem is, my "real" work gets in the way
I guess it's a good problem to have but damn inconvenient.

    Golf ball dimples......

I'd have to omit the dimples on the parting line, space the dimples a little farther apart so I could get a .010 or .015 ball mill between them when milling .
Now I'll admit I'm not the ultimate expert on this so if I'm missing something (and that's truely possible) please give me your ideas. I will happily listen.
Here's an image of what I'm seeing initially. Nasty little undercuts.

I am so glad I don't have your talent. I would not have time to have a beer or two at my local Chilis restaurant.

    You do great stuff,

    Thanks Slim !

But you must know that a little beer is an excellent lubricant for the mind.
It's like a good mold release

I've had fun reading this ever growing thread. There are so many cool designs... but I really think that the phillip head and the drill bit would be classics. I hope that you do get the opportunity someday to cut some production molds... it would be hard to keep up with all of the interest shown here.

By the way, I can only imagine the expression on a bad guys face when he has a revolver full of of phillips head ammo pointed at him

The phillips head is a pretty intimidating bullet to look at.
Although modeled as a "novelty" it would be interesting to know how effective or ineffective it is in ballistic gel.
And I would love to be able to cut some production molds and hope to do that in the future.
    Only time will tell.
I was thinking of buying another bike, a new Honda CB1100.... But I told my wife if I had to choose, I'd rather try to get a decent cnc mill that would let me continue to make my molds and molds for others.

Tough choice. Designing/building the molds is cool but a new bike? That's a chance for you and the wife to get away for a few moments of fresh air.

Over the years I've accumulated too many bikes.
I buy the old ones, fix them, paint them and ride them some.
When you take into consideration the insurance, registration, etc. And the fact that they need to be ridden on a regular basis or the gas sits and ruins the orings, gums the carbs and on and on.. They become a maint. nightmare.
So I'm going to get rid of all but two, and one of the two I've been thinking of trading for the Honda.
But again, until June has come and gone and I know where I stand finacially I'm in limbo.
I have 20 eggs, but I better wait to see how many chickens I get before betting the farm.

    The little 81 250.

    My 81 1100 (a keeper)

My little custom streetfighter (home built) 500.

    It started as this.

    And my lazyboy on wheels.

A small mill would be so nice !

At 62 the bikes are fine but other more sedate, less time consuming pastimes seem more fullfilling.

    Another crappy bullet.

Perhaps for the more brazen, in your face hobbyist.

BTW, I didn't read your caption before I looked at the pic of the booliting pins and thought you were rerunning the condom boolits... something I can never own because casting jacketed is an oxymoron.

Got the Football and 45 phillips done and a few casted.

Well, I was able to finish the football and 45 phillips mold.
I cast a few up but should have spent a little more time with the football, it's still a little washed, not quite filling the way I'd like.
One side is a little stickey but I had a feeling it would be, there are some sharp edges I need to stone down a little.
    Weighs 200gr

    And the 45 weighs 191gr
