    Reservations are made.
FYI to any other NRA members that want to use Super 8 motels.
The NRA benefit code is 8000002713.
That will get you 20% off and still be able to cancel up to 4:00 pm the day of the reservation.
Watch out for the "advanced purchase" option.
That is a 15% off rate but there is NO cancellation policy!
Once you click submit, you're paying whether you show up or not!

Here is a web page with the NRA codes for all motels they have deals with.

With regards to gun control in this country, everyone should be asking themselves one question:
What is it that this government feels they need to do, but can't do, unless the citizens of this nation are first disarmed?
(I seriously doubt you can come up with any plausible answers that you will like...)

Made my reservations today at Scott's Shady Court. Rooms are small but comfortable. You can walk to most places downtown and you can back your car/truck up to the room.

    To all, OLD & NEW!

Did I say "OLD", I meant long time attendees or at least you have been to one or more NCBS's and "NEW" is, -- we certainly WELCOME all first time attendees!

I have made Reservations for the Friday Night "Rools Commitee", Meeting at Chihuahua's Grill & Cantina. I told them we would start arriving about 6p, with dinner to be served about 7p.

ALSO --- I made reservations for our Sunday Night's "Golden Weight Award Dinner" at the Martin Hotel, same times, start arriving about 6p with dinner to be served about 7p.

These two places were our chioces for NCBS 2012, with the feeling that everyone seemed very pleased! So don't mess with a good thing! I wanted to be on their Calendar's early, as you never know what might be going on in Greater Winnemucca! As for the times we arrive, that can be changed if most want it earlier or later. For directions for Newbees, just follow the crowd, really just asked, we will get you there.

Looking forward to seeing everyone, New and "Old" at this years NCBS 2013.

PS. Saterday Night we're all on our own. I am sure we will find some of our own no matter where we dine.

Picked up a new toy today that I'll be bringing out there.
Gotta cast and work up loads etc. Lots of work to do and not that much time either!
May 17th will be here before you know it...
BTW, the toy is a RIA M1903.

    Ron;

"NCBS" is the annual Nevada Cast Bullet Shoot, held each year for the last thirteen years in Winnemucca.

It's a weekend of mostly socializing, mixed with a goodly amount of shooting and good food.

ANYONE is welcome, and even if one has no available cast-bullet guns or ammunition on hand, it's still a worthwhile trip, because MANY guns will be offered for one's enjoyment.

I see that you're in Idaho, which makes for an easy trip to attend. We typically have folks from six or seven States in attendance, and many bring families. Thirty or more shooters is the general size of the group.

Go to the "get-togethers" forum under 'Our Town' for write-ups and pics from past years.

    You would be most welcome...

And I wouldn't be in town that weekend. I live in Winnemucca and will be missing am event that people travel hundreds and thousands of miles to attend.

Is there a place close by that someone can park a camp trailer? This thing is close enough that I could make it .I will have hay season right about then, but, depending on the weather I could see myself heading South. In the past I have been thru Winnemucca but I never really looked around that much. I would love to be there if the hay Gods smile on me, but my life depends on the weather sometimes so I would be reluctant to make motel reservations at this time. If there is a place to camp (I'm sure there is) and I am not up to my neck in haying then I will be there. JW

    Idaho Mule,
We have parked our camper at two different places in Winnemucca, and both were just fine for us. The first year we parked at Hi Desert RV, and the second time we parked at the Model T. The only reason we moved for the second year, was because my wife wanted to be closer to the casino!!!
