    I am trying to find an equal to W785 for my 270 Win. It only shoots well with 785, it hates 4831, 4350 and all the powders every one claim are so great in the 270 Win. According to burn charts W870 is listed on the same line as W785 but cane find no data for it in the 270


    I think you and I are the only two people who realize this. Also HP-38 and 231 were different powders back then.

    I've had many people tell me I'm nuts but I have the reloading manuals to prove it.

    Prime example is the Speer Cast Bullet handbook #1.

    Anyone have a good replacement for the old PB porous base powder? I'm using it in a 45 ACP with cast and it's WONDERFUL! But l only have half a pound someone gave me....
