At least I have the bullet. It opened to the large flat like I tested for.

Nope. Just to a hair over full dia. Just the way I like it. I like flats over expanding boolits. And here in Wisconsin we have a dumb expanding bullet design law to hunt. So the shallow hp cast harder opens just to a flat and works great.

I'm sorry to hear about the bear Ctious.

Thanks for posting a pic of the recovered boolit. It sure looks like you've got it fine tuned and performing pretty well to specification.

that 10mm shot in gel blew my mind- 8 grains 800x presumably 1.26. I started showing rough extraction marks on the brass as I approached 7.5 grains, worked back down to a tad under 7... IN A .40!!

also, accuracy is decent at about 4 inches at 20 yards offhand, 24lb recoil spring works great in this application. wish chronies were cheaper so I could see the rest of the picture, but it wouldn't make this any more/less awesome.

I do not own a 10mm pistol, do have a few 40S&W, I use Titegroup.
According to some date I have 9 grs is listed for cast and 8.9 grs for FMJ. It did not list a "start or max".
Please check the Alliant web site or give them a call.

I tried 9.6gr and the pressure (and velocity) looked really low. You could probably go quite a bit north of that # and be safe.

I would like one also. I got in too late as usual. If possible personal message, or any way you can.

I just sent this PM to MiHec:

    Hi Miha,

With your permission I would like to rerun the 200gr/190gr 10mm group buy, with the following changes:

    1. Reduce diameter spec. from .403 to .4020

    2. I'd like to make a no-lube-groove option, .4010 diameter.

    3. I'd like to offer the 190gr, and a 220gr instead of the 200gr.

When you say OK I'll post the sign-up thread.

    Thanks!

A 402 I would be interested in. Not sure if I would want the 190 or 220. I wonder how fast I could push a 220. Hmmm.
