    Nice to see this sale

Way too much for 4oo rds, but just having it there is kinda reassuring.

It will be taken down as soon as it is noticed. Live ammo sales are against the rules and probably illegal without a license. Must be shipped as hazardous, also. Dale

Actually, ammunition is not hazardous. I always thought so too, but it's only primers and powder that are.

    Not Hazardous

    Ammunition is not hazardous cargo.
Must be labeld ORMD in certain size.
Can't ship USPS but UPS is just ORMD.

Its just another one of "those" things. If you order a brick of primers, you have to pay the hazmat fee. BUT, if you order a 1000 primed cases, you DON'T have to pay the fee. Make sense? There is also no fee on loaded ammo. Most places do require a copy of your DL for their records though.

Ebay removed the listing - don't know if payment was made or not, but I can imagine the teeth gnashing on the Left coast.

I just bought Berdan primers with no HAZMAT.
Some UPS agents do not seem to know their own rules and are 'fraid of the BATFags. Can't say as I blame them. The IRS does not have to play nice.

    Berdan primers

    Ross,
Actually I have gotten conflicting labeling instructions from the folks at the central customer service site for UPS as to the labeling for primers.
At one time I had the internet reference complete with a label for their shipping and it was NOT HAZMAT!
    Was not ORMD either.
I very specifically detailed to the customer service rep that they were primers.
She actually argued me out of sending them as Haz-Mat.
Was just a year or two ago also.
    FWIW
