    ID this chunk of lead

Bud called and said he's cleaning the garage out and found some lead, come get it.

I would say it had a purpose, very soft, 9"X16"X2" weight 125lbs. Had 40lbs of 1/2lb ingots stamped with a "P".

Looks like a counter weight or weight of some sort used in heavy equipment for traction. If you want to find out the composition call ahead to some scrap yard and find out if they have a hand held analyzer and have them check it.

If there is any auto racing involved it might be anything that would melt. The racers use it to balance their cars.

The enviro-wackos think that all condors are killed by lead from bullets. So apparently condors seek out lead like it's their lifeblood and if you put a chunk of lead out that size , it will draw them in for thousands of miles and kill'em by the truckload..
    sent via hammer and chisel

need oversized powder funnels , PTX's or expanders ? just ask, I make 'em for most brands plus my own styles.

i'd scratch it with my thumbnail.
if it gouges and had a tud like sound when dropped, it'd go in the soft pile.
if it really gouges and cooled to a bluish color when made into ingots it'd go in the i think it's pure pile.
