    A 55* threading tool is easily ground, the 55* threading gauge is available from many machine tool suppliers, so why not use 55* as matter of craftsmanship. The NRA Gunsmthing Guide - Updated has many thread dimension illustrated, including most mentioned here, along with other 'stuff'. Used available on Amazon - about $20. Machinery's Handbook should have all the threading specs.

    De Hasse's book "Single Shot Rifles" has most of the older single shot action barrel thread information..My copys are in storage or I'd help.... I'm not sure they are still in print???

    CZ527 .988x1.25 mm pitch.
    CZ550 1.1x2.5mm pitch
    These 550 barrels are tight as all get out.
    Last one I did was a 416 Rigby that I rebarreled for a customer
    To 338 Lapua. Had to sacrifice the 416 bbl with a relief cut
    .003 in front of the reciever to relieve the tension and that barrel
    Was STILL pretty tight. They must be torqued down by gorillas .
