I was reading in an old magazine tonight that had a chart of dates of introduction for various chamberings in the Colt SAA. The .41 came in 1885, later than I would have thought what with the heeled bullet it originally had. Also in the chart was the .38-40 with an 1884 introduction date. I am going to guess Colt's only reason for making the .41 round as they did was just to keep from making another barrel inside diameter. Anyone agree or disagree?
