I see lots of guys using Crayons for color in their lube.
Does any one use "Food Color"?

Once loaded, what do you see?
It matters if you use different lubes for a lot of stuff so you know what to use but in general, one lube can be SBB. Don't ask what that means!
+1 with 44man. I have used crayons, but generally leave the lube in it's natural form. Food coloring won't work, at least it did not for me. I used it in a lube with paraffin and the food coloring is water based. It did not mix. Luckily, it was in a test batch, so I didn't lose much.
One of my father's favorite statements: "If I say a chicken dips snuff, look under his wing for the snuffbox" How I was raised, who I am.
I think you could use candle coloring (http://www.candlewic.com/store/category.aspx?q=c7). Prices seem pretty cheap and it doesn't look like you need a lot for smaller batches.
Food color did not work for me.

These people are great to work with and have these color chips in a wide range of colors. One pack contains 10 chips and is enough for around 10# of wax. I've tried them in small custom lubes batches and they worked pretty good.
Thanks, those were the answers I was looking for.
Yes, I'm gunna be tryin out a few different recipes so I want to isolate them by color so there are no mix-ups. Black powder, Leveractions, and Bolt actions, with different bullet velocities.
You guys rock.
Thanks,
Lunar
