Way back last month during NCBS I won the 50 yd iron sight rifle for score event using Swedes 311407 and my $50 03 springfield. We were shooting at NRA 25yard pistol repair center targets and I shot a 48-1X standing offhand 5 shots. Buckshot tied me, but defered to me shooting the score first. No matter how hard I tried I couldn't talk him into a shoot-off. A good performance with a good boolit!
It also grouped well with a 1.23" 5 shot group at 50 yds from bench, but the winner who I forget at the moment shot a .75x" (showoff). We get some surprisingly good groups each year at this event and they keep getting smaller. I believe the 100 yd scoped riflle from bench went under 1" this year as well.
