I am seeking input concerning using the RD 165 grain bullet in .308 Winchester.
What input would you like? They do shoot well in 308s if loaded correctly.
OK, by correctly are we talking cartridge length? At the present I am shooting a Rossi .30/30 and just purchased a Savage Axis in .308, so I am looking at using the same bullet in both. I am limited to around 1600 fps due to my replaced shoulder. This is for recreation shooting only, no hunting.
They should work very well in both calibers. Remember, fit is king, so slug your barrel and size accordingly. You may want to experiment a little with OAL as that can affect accuracy. Go with 1400-1500 and you might even be able to get away without a gas check and still have reasonable accuracy (with the right alloy.)
Great bullet I use it in all my 30 cals. Shouldn't have any issues in your 308

Sticks and stones may break my bones but hollow points expand on impact.
Taxidermists are cheaper than surgeons....keep shooting

Well, if I was lucky, I got the last one shown on his website. This way I can slowly swithch to them as I finish my Lasercast 170`s.
They would be great for hunting also.
