    I think I got a good deal

I just picked this all up for a $100. There is 160# of lead. Not sure what the 10 cavity mold is other then a 358 swc, it just has a 51 on the side of it. The lyman 45 has .358 and .311 sizing die and 3 top punches. And I dont know alot about either pot one says Potter and the other is a Saceo model 24. I plugged them both in and they work. The Potter meltd the lead in 6 to 7 min. But just between the lead and 1000 primer that was a good deal I think.

    That 10 cavity # 51 is a H&G number 51 158 grain .358 SWC.
In my opinion the finest bullet ever designed for the .38/.357.

It is approximately worth its weight in gold.

Go to the ballisti-cast web site and look up their #651 it is the same mold.

Well I looked at the H&G #51 a little closer today and it is in pretty rough shape I'm pretty sure it wouldn't cast a good boolit. I'm not sure if these molds can be worked on or not. Both the pots drip but they havent been used in over 30 years so a little TLC may bring them back. I think the H&G mold and the 2 pots are headed for ebay or swap and sell. The 2 ideal molds seem to be in good shape once I clean them. One is a 358429 and the other is a 360271-3 I had never seen the latter. The lyman 45 lubisizer looks to be in good shape but needs to be cleaned it came with the original box and instructions. I'm not sure I will keep it I have only ever used a star before. But it looks pretty cool so I may have to.

    The good deal

The H&G mold alone, especially if it can be tuned up/restored, is worth a lot more than what you spent. The melting pot, a Saeco #24 is one of the best pots made (along with the Lyman #61....both made by the same mfg) is worth at least $75. You scored big-time on this one. Good luck with your stuff. Good show! I have one of those little Potters - need to hook it up to a dimmer to control the temp, but I use it more than any other furnace. Great for casting up a pound or two of a boolit to check out stuff. I call it my Cute Little Thing.
