At least 2500 rounds a year. Centerfire rifle/handgun, rimfire rifle/handgun

    I shoot guns for a living…. So weekly I probably shoot 1-1.5k 9mm alone, last month I shot 4k in one day….Attachment 288651

It’s a rough job but someone’s gotta do it 😉

My son and I try and get out about once a week, usually put a couple hundred rounds down range. Mostly handguns, shooting lots of steel plates. (Enjoy the sound and instant feedback.) we shoo 9mm, 40 s&w, 38spl,45acp and of course my favorite 45 colt.

My shooting has changed drastically since Covid.

And then ammo prices skyrocketed, and the primers disappeared. I figure if you don't pop em you don't have to replace em.
So I sit home and safe and dream about shooting.
I truly believe we need to get back to basics.

    Get right with the Lord.
    Get back to the land.
Get back to thinking like our forefathers thought.

May the Lord bless you and keep you. May the Lord make His face to shine upon you and be gracious unto you
and give you His peace. Let all of the earth – all of His creation – worship and praise His name! Make His
    praise glorious!

In the past I shot a couple of times a month. My membership range is 45 minutes away sometimes thru heavy traffic. This summer it’s been reduced to about 3 times this summer. Mainly because I’m worried about running out of components for reloading. And I’m not alone except at the range. Very few shooters. Seriously considering not renewing my membership except for the fact there is an initiation fee to renew I’m critically short of 6.5 bullets & when I do see them they are expensive & really unsuitable. I do cast for handguns but primers are getting low…

Last year I clocked 25K of 9mm alone. Around another 7-8K of 45 ACP. Add in another 4-5K of assorted stuff. I don't keep track of the rimfire stuff but I know my inventory went down around 9K last year.

I've really cut back this year due to the primer situation. I had planned to have LOTS of primers on hand before the election. The China Flu hit and emptied the shelves about 5 months earlier than I had planned.

That left me sitting on only 50K each of large and small pistol primers.

This year I've only shot about 10K total of centerfire. Maybe another 7k of rimfire.
