    Exclamation RCBS lock out die

Well I have been playing with my new to me Hornady prrgressive press.
I have had some trouble with the priming alignment.
Anyway I would load a few and do some adjusting , then again, over and over.
It got better each time, and I was about done when the darn press locked up on me!
I'm thinking "now what"! And then I realized it was the RCBS lock out die.
I thought It must have screwed up so I began to check it out.
It looked good. Then I got a cold feeling and sure enugh ,the shell had no powder!
For the first time In my 25 years of reloading I tryed to load a gunbuster!!
That die that I cused for being so over priced had saved my a$$!
I am sold, the die cost a lot less than the gun or my hand.

I thought I would just keep a eye on everything and I wouldnt need that die.
But it looks like even I can make a possiably deadly mistake!
The best $40 I ever spent!

I had a similar experience with the Hornady Powder Cop die. I had really got a rhythm loading on my L-N-L and I saw the Powder Cop die not showing the white O ring. I wondered what was going on with the die and then saw I had run out of powder.
I always visually check for powder before I press the bullet but it is nice to have a die looking out for you.
