    Fired cases

Yesterday morning I went out to the gun room and tried one of my .460 PP 405s in a fired case. It fit snug so I deprimed the case bell the mouth and loaded it. There is some tension on the boolit but a crimp is necessary to hold it in place. Before when I sized the cases I would have patches slide or tear from time to time. These loaded nice and they work in the gun. Should have been doing this all along maybe??

All the rounds I load for bench testing are in unsized brass but ate loaded in the chamber one at a time. Get my best accuracy that way. If they are for hunting and have to feed from a magazine then I neck size only.
45 AUTO! Because having to shoot someone twice is just silly!

In all my rifles that have a chamber neck snug enough to allow it, I just reload the cases without sizing them. Some, like the 8X57, have big chambers so require sizing. For that I use a Lee collet die so I can control the amount of sizing and make it just snug enough so the bullet doesn't fall out. As always, the powder and filler (if used) stack stops the bullet from sliding into the case.
