I have some commercial cast bullets from 3 different suppliers and only one has bullets sized as advertised.
.356 sized bullets are actually .358 and .358 sized are actually. 360.
.452 sized are actually .452 These are the only ones.
Is this normal?
I am going to try the 130 gr 357 bullets in my 9mm and see it it stops the leading. Thet chamber great in my sig!
What molds and what alloy?? What are you measuring with? Calipers or mike?
I have ONE of my three or four 9mm/.356 that actually drops a usable boolit.

What commercial boolits are the wrong size? I checked six different calibers of mine and they are all what they are supposed to be.

What measuring tool are you using? Might be you are measuring incorrectly, but it
could be the maker is off a bit.
Calipers are only +/-.001 accurate, you should be using a .0001" rated micrometer.

I was using a caliper. Maybe it is the caliper.
Likely the caliper Grant. When you get down to +/- .002-3 a mic is the right tool, and even that depends on proper op and setting to a standard.
Be sure you have all of the hard lube wiped off of the driving bands so you are measuring the bullet amd not bullet lube. A .0001 micrometer would be better.
A bullet being a litle oversized is alot better than being under sized.
I have frequently seen commercial handgun bullets off by .0005 to .001.
In one occasion I too have seen bullets off by .002. Fortunately they were too large so I just resized them.
