    Question Lead Melter

Found a plumber's melter at a yard sale with fuel tank and air pump as the base and fuel preheating coil leading to fuel jet under a cast iron pot. Pump handle marked: Geo. W. Diener Mfg. Co. Torrid Torch No.38 Chicago U.S.A. No other information. No luck on web search. My question is what fuel to use, would this burn gasoline or kerosene or used motor oil?

Just because change doesn't make a difference doesn't mean that change is bad.

oso, I googled "Diener Torrid Torch" and got several hits. Looks like at least some of them will help you out.

With a word like "torrid" in the search, though, you can be sure you'll get some hits you may not want!! <GGG>
