    Gas Check Tool

    Hi all.

I am new to casting and want to buy a Star sizer. However, apparently to use it to seat gas checks (Hornady), it would require that I size the bullets base-first.

Is there a tool or technique that would allow me to seat the gas checks, then size the bullets nose-first in the Star, or vice-versa?

Thank you all very much for your consideration.

upperb- I don't have a Star, but I've seated Hornady(and Lyman for that matter) gaschecks with a Lee sizer, (also nose first) with no problems. Hope this helps.

I asked why you couldn't seat checks nose first in his last thread... no answer.
